Currently on the front page of D&D Beyond (on desktops/laptops at least) there is always an embedded video towards the top right. This is great, but the embedded YouTube player is slow to load and slows down full loading of the entire home-page as a result, meaning various elements don't respond properly until the video preview is ready.
I would like to request that when setting the video for this part of the page, that you provide a preview image and display that in place of the video, and only attempt to show an embedded video (or send a user to YouTube) when they click it.
I think the usefulness of having the video right there on the page is diminished by the delay it causes in page loading, especially as the same delay seems to occur every single time the page is loaded. As someone who uses the site a lot I'd prefer the front page to load as fast as possible.
