For my use case, I would like to see the ability create a local shop and add to it a table of items as a menu of items from the WOTC compendium or homebrew that that shop would sell or know how to craft. I would be able to present this "menu" to my players who would then be able to purchase the items and have the money deducted from the character sheet and have the items added to the character sheet.
I would like to see these tables as something I could save and add to a campaign page. I would see the campaign page as the most likely place of where the players would see the list of items thy could choose from.
I would see this working as what I found as a loot function that has already been planned in this other feature request as part of inventory management enhancements. The other feature request is in the link below. But instead of a what you find for loot in say a goblin cave. You would have a loot table of items for sell from a shop that the player can choose from a list or the DM can assign to the player from a list of editable choices.
