It seems like the search functionality is pretty simple text indexing of all of the content.
There are a handful of common searches that I make which don't have the most obvious top result.
"Ranged Attack" should probably have the same top result as "Ranged Attacks". Similarly "Grappling" and "Grapple". "Spell Save" doesn't have a top result of https://www.dndbeyond.com/compendium/rules/basic-rules/spellcasting#SavingThrows
This list probably goes on and on, but it seems like manually curating an index would go a long way to reducing the amount of work it takes for DMs and players to quickly find rules (especially basic rules) and make rulings quickly.
In a similar vein, it seems like it should be possible to detect entries that should be added by looking at user logs and determining when there are a series of searches without result clicks, especially when followed by going to a compendium table of contents.
