Currently we are getting data pulled for characters and its based as I understand it on a few criteria. something like:
1. In a campaign
2. has changes to HP, Equipment, Coins, level, spell slots usage, and has taken a short/long rest in the last 120 days.
Just guessing here. However, If I am using my character in offline play I might just print out the sheet and none of that happens. On the other hand, I could have an alt I am theory crafting with, that is part of a campaign, and leveling to stay ready as a backup that might be part of the campaign and even take rests to see how something functions (I have done that). I would be more than happy to Mark my characters "Theory crafting only - currently not in use", "Alternate/Backup character - currently not in use", "GM - NPC", "Player Sidekick - currently not in use", "Player Sidekick - In use" or "In use Character" this last one would be looking for activity in the last 120 days to be reported as a metric.
I have 2 once a month sessions, Its possible for me to play at the binging of one month and the end of the next this could easily create a 30 days gap between character usage. Its very possible that at any moment one or both of my characters is not counted with and updated poll being performed and released in the middle or later weeks of a month. Also, the November/December time frame, missing a single session for vacation etc, is likely to make a large number of characters drop off. I would like it if they marked the slides "Characters played in the last 120 days" for quarterly players, by monthly players, monthly players, and weekly players to all be represented for the most part. This also gives us a better idea of what we are looking at as a community. Currently "Active Characters" makes a divide against in active characters but their is no indication of what defines an active character vs an inactive character.
