This is truly puzzling then.  I was a player in a game for another DM and I enabled content sharing and that DM was able to see everything I had.  Even now, with my campaign as a DM, every player is able to see everything I have access to.

Has it always been like this for you?  Also, are you still up to date on your subscription?  My players mentioned everything had locked up, but it was because my subscription wasn't renewed and I had to update it to get access again.  Though the picture shows content sharing is enabled so it seems like you are.  This is a puzzling one.

I'm going to have one of my players double check to see that they can look up the monster so I can see if they still can.

    Timothy,

My subscription is ok for the next 11 months.

We are facing this issue just now with Xanathar's.

I have PHB, DMG, MM too. Asked to my DM to check if it is happening on Monsters Manual too, but I think its just for this.

Its not a big deal, because Xanathar's have just 1 monster, but I would like to know if something is wrong or I just need to make some settings right.

You have piqued my curiosity.  I'm waiting for my players to get back with me, but I wonder if it has anything to do with it not being listed in the XGE book.

Tiny Servant is listed as a spell...but no where in the XGE to buy is it listed as a monster.  So I wonder if that is somehow having an effect on it, like maybe since the monster isn't listed it's somehow not being included in the content share?  I don't understand why that would be happening.  Can your DM see the spell Tiny Servant in the spells tab?

    Timothy,

    1. Tiny Servant Spell - OK
    2. Tiny Servant Monster - NOT OK
    3. Monster Manual - OK

So, it's just and error with Xanathar's Tiny Servant monster.

Thanks so much for your help

It looks like it.  That's so weird!  It must be because it was a monster added with the book, but it wasn't listed in the notes to be shared so it wasn't shared.  That might be something worth starting a thread about, or reporting to bug fix so they can get that updated.  It really should be unlocked with the spell if that's the case.

Is the glitch when a person buys new content that it isn't automatically shared still a problem with this new setup?  Or does the master sub person need to turn off sharing, then turn it back on again to ensure all the sharing is "synced" properly?

    Thanks,

    Envaris

Are there any other provisions for sharing content?  Because it's ridiculous that i'd have to pay a monthly fee for content I've purchased to be usable by my family such that we could all use the campaign tools.

Omair, I've never had that issue of things I bought not syncing up so I'm not sure if this is still an issue or not, but it isn't one I have.

Erik, sadly there are no provisions.  If you want to share content you have to pay the fee (I do once yearly) to share it.

This is an informative thread. I'm not sure if this question belongs here or not, but I'm wondering about blocking content. For example, I share my content, but I don't want to share adventure details. How you do block part but not all of the shareable content?

    Hi Wally.

I would say this doesn't belong here, but I'll answer it anyway.

Creations > My Campaigns > [name of your campaign] View Campaign >

You should have "Disable Content Sharing" and "Content Management" as two buttons right under the campaign name.  Click on "Content Management".  From here you'll see everything that is available, both adventures and sourcebooks.  You can allow some and block others, allow all, or block all.  Just be aware that blocking the content doesn't stop them from using options in the character builder, just from reading the books (unless they have also bought the book in question).

So for example, if you blocked the latest Ebberon book, the players would still have access to the classes and races from the book, just not be able to read the information pages about them from the site.

    Hope this helps.

So how do we manage the players in each Campaign? I cannot find where I can see what players have joined my campaign. I cannot see where I would kick or ban a player should any of them become unwelcome in my campaign for some reason.

If we are limited to the number of Campaigns and the number of players in a campaign, we need a way to manage the players, and not just the characters the players make.

I'm surprised this has not come up yet, as the Campaign feature has been in place for a year or so now.

You don't manage players, just the characters.  If you boot the characters from the campaign then they will no longer be in there.  If you're worried about people continuously joining you can kick the character then reset the invite link so the old one no longer works.  Other than that I don't think there's anything else to do.
